Beach kid.

I'm sorry, but this is so cute.

His current favorite hobby is scuba diving...and he's pretty darn good at it!

However cute this may be, my favorite thing about this picture is that he now always
remembers to lift up his glasses so I can see his eyes. Score!

...and he's rubbing in the fact that it's snowing in Utah right now and absoutely GORGEOUS in Florida.

Love is a battlefield.

...quite literally.

Every night before we go to bed, Kasey and I talk on FaceTime for at least an hour...closer to two. What do we have to talk about you ask? That question never ceases to amaze me. You'd think after ten months of talking every day for that long you would run out of things to say, but it happens on a rare occasion. You'd think we haven't seen each other in a year. Like, only when both of us are falling asleep and are too lazy to say goodnight is when we are both pretty quiet. (That's when I knew I found "the one.") Yes, we have fallen asleep before while still on the phone!

Anyway, right before we end our FaceTime dates, we always have our "I love you more than," battles. Winning constitutes as topping the other and hanging up before anything else is said. We get really creative, even down to making our own rule book. Because apparently I cheated tonight...?

I guess I can handle this kind of getting beat.

Key to my heart.

There's this one thing. If any guy can do this, he's in...and we can negotiate the rest. Obviously there are some other  important doors that must be unlocked...however. This is the very first requirement before he wears that tux on our wedding day. (That he will look so very handsome in.)

If I'm not laughing [hard] every day of my marriage, it won't be successful. Not just because he'll be witty and hysterical, but because he'll see the good in life and make the best out of everything. Life is meant to be funny--I won't settle for anything less.

Single Awareness Day

It's funny how Valentine's Day is so awkward. You'll only get a date if you're "official" with someone. If you're not, it's awkward when your friends ask you if you should be/not be with the person that day, get/not get them a valentine, or go/not go on that special date. Knowing I had no "Valentine" as the week started, it was pretty rough with all the paper hearts on campus. (Is that just BYU?) But as the hours went by on the actual day, it turned into being great. The rough start goes as follows.

I was at work with this:

And this:

But then it turned into this:

My best friend and I got to babysit her little niece and nephew, while their parents didn't have an awkward date. These kids are absolutely adorable, and it just made me want to be a mom that much more. I could just eat their little faces. We had ourselves a pizza party, danced to the rock version of Popcorn Popping, and then put them to bed in time to sit and just watch TV...something I haven't done for a very long time!

A little bit about my BFF: we have the same major, we have the same job, and we got to know each other at Young Ambassador callbacks. Both of us didn't make the final cut, and found ourselves both cast in Signin' in the Rain this summer. Oh and yes, we did spend Valentines together. If that right there doesn't tell you enough about our love lives...we have the exact same life.

Right before bed, Abby and Brig came and plopped themselves on my lap to watch The Lion King on Reb's legendary iPhone. It was so great to relax with these little cuties. I almost took them home with me.

Oh, and I started my mission papers today. What?!?!

On your feet.

Stephen Jones.  He is so funny. Since we've got so much talent at BYU, it's hard to keep it all to ourselves. This is episode four of the "On Your Feet" series that goes out 60 million. Our theme this year is "Rise Up," so this is Mr. Jones' attempt to get us all to support our awesome BYU athletes.

Notice the last shot is my old job, with two of my old bosses! Best part, I must say. Watch for this episode airing this Monday on True Blue, 8 ET/6 MT.
