What gets me to the gym.

Weightlifting. A.k.a Weight Training, for those of us who want to feel more feminine.

It really is fantastic. This past year, I've found a new love for it. I also need to give thanks to my trainer, Rachel for helping me find it. It's taken me awhile, but I feel like I've finally gotten there. There's nothing more satisfying than walking out of the gym feeling like your abs just got rocked and knowing your legs are going to give in while going down the stairs. That's what gets me to the gym--knowing I'll be limping the next day!

...which is what happened to me today. Actually, the past two days. Our teacher pushed us super hard in class. I wasn't really feeling the pain right after, so I decided to go to the gym again and get a better workout in. Then...BAM. I woke up yesterday morning and couldn't move. It was kinda embarrassing walking up the RB stairs. It was like the first day of basketball season all over again. (Okay, not that bad, but i was getting nostalgic about it.)  But let me tell you, it was awesome. There's nothing more empowering.

Well, that's my rant about lifting weights. I kind of hate using the term "lifting weights" or "weightlifting" because I think of Arnold Schwarzenegger. We'll stick with Weight Training. Nevermind that though...if you really haven't done it and you feel like you shouldn't because a girl, just go do it. And push yourself! You'll have a great reason to brag for the coming days.

Oh yeah, and you'll get stronger.
